Wildcats take two from Clarkdale

The Kemper County Wildcats spoiled Senior Night for the Clarkdale Bulldogs Tuesday night, with a 71-54 setback.
In girls' action, Kemper County thumped the Lady Bulldogs 48-34.
Bryant Gaddis broke the scoring run by the Wildcats as he nailed one of his 10 three-pointers on the night.
However, the Wildcats picked up another run of eight points to secure a 14-3 first quarter lead.
The Bulldogs came alive in the second quarter, scoring 14 points. However that wasn't enough. The Wildcats scored 18 more points in the quarter to hoist a 32-17 halftime lead.
Kemper County came away with 20 points in the third quarter, to take a 52-32 lead into the final quarter.
Clarkdale outscored Kemper County 22-19 in the final quarter, but it was not enough to take the victory.
Despite the loss, Gaddis enjoyed the night with 10 three-pointers and a single two-point field goal in his final home game at Clarkdale as he racked up 32 points.
The 23-6 Wildcats were led in scoring by Kenny Boyd with 16 and James Moore with 14 points. Gaddis led the way for the Bulldogs with 32, while Brandon Mabry added 10.
The 6-22 Bulldogs will travel to Noxapater on Friday, while the Wildcats will entertain Northeast Lauderdale.

The Clarkdale Lady Bulldogs found themselves trailing 11-6 at the end of the first quarter.
The Lady Bulldogs scored seven points in the second quarter to drop behind 23-13 at the intermission.
In the third quarter, Clarkdale held Kemper County to only 10 points, but the Lady Bulldogs failed to capitalize as they only tossed in seven points.
In the final quarter, the Lady Bulldogs scored 14 points. However that wasn't enough to claim the victory. The Lady Bulldogs fell to 8-20 with the loss, while Kemper County improved to 9-14 on the year. The Lady Wildcats were led in scoring by Tamician Davis with 19 points. The Lady Bulldogs were led in scoring by Danielle Gaddis with 13 points.
