Harold and Wanda McBrayer of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Dana Michelle, to James Alford Stratton Farmer, son of Dr. Charles E. and Kay Farmer of Clinton.
The wedding will be held Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Chapel of Madison.
Miss McBrayer is the granddaughter of Iris Massey of Noxapater and the late William Alvin Massey; Mrs. Odell Mitchell of Noxapater and the late Glen Alec McBrayer.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Meridian High School. She received a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Mississippi and is a graduate of the Institute of Ultrasound Diagnostics.
Miss McBrayer is a cardiovascular sonographer with St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.
Mr. Farmer is the grandson of the late Thomas Guy and Freda Katherine Bragg of Little Rock, Ark.; the late Charles Emerson and Mary Lee Farmer of Columbus.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Clinton High School and the University of Southern Mississippi, where he was a member of Sigma alpha Epsilon. He is employed by Zimmer Inc.
A reception will be held at the Bridgewater Clubhouse in Madison following the ceremony.
