DeAnna Shea Smith and James Christopher Richmond announce their engagement.
The wedding will be held Saturday, March 2, 2002, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in the Stephenstown Community in Philadelphia.
Parents of the couple are Willie Charles and Patsy Wilkerson Smith of Philadelphia, and James P. and Patricia Richmond of Prentiss.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Helen Young and the late George Young, Ora Maude Smith and the late Willie B. Smith, all of Philadelphia.
Miss Smith is a graduate of Neshoba Central High School. She received a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Southern Mississippi and is employed at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Betty Lou Everett of Braxton and the late Linwood Everett; John D. Richmond of Brookhaven and the late Iris Richmond.
Mr. Richmond is a graduate of Prentiss Christian School. He received a bachelor of physical education degree from Mississippi State University. He is employed by the Lauderdale County School System.
A reception will follow the ceremony at the home of Brother John and Cindy Stephens. Family and friends are invited to attend.
