Remember when?
Harrison Central used to own the high school girls' basketball world in Mississippi. From 1977 to 1983, the Red Rebelettes won seven straight state championships.
Those days are long gone as this year's Red Rebelettes lost 51-45 to Long Beach in the semifinals of the Division 8-5A Tournament. It's the first time for the Lady Bearcats to get out of the division tournament since 1991.
Long Beach, which was 9-18 a year ago, beat Harrison on the Red Rebelettes' own court for the win.

Cleveland improved to 29-6 by winning the Division 4-3A Tournament at Greenwood last week.
Cleveland hosts Senatobia tonight in the Class 3A North State's opening round.
