GILBERTOWN, Ala. Services for Remer Effie Johnson Taylor will be held today at 2 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Edgar Jenkins and Fred Wiley officiating. Burial will be in Womack Hill Cemetery.
Ms. Taylor, 89, of Gilbertown, died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2002, in Meridian, Miss.
Survivors include two daughters, May Jewel Moore of Gilbertown; and Ann T. Lindsey of Mobile; 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

UNION Services for Elvie L. Walker will be held today at 2 p.m. at Milling Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ed Dickerson officiating. Burial will be in Evans Tabernacle.
Mrs. Walker, 73, of Union, died Friday Feb. 22, 2002, at Laird Hospital.
Survivors include a daughter, Lois Allen of Union; a son, Willie Leach of Philadelphia; a sister, Mary Lancaster of Jackson; 10 granchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Walker, and her son, Odell Leach.
Pallbearers will be Mack Leach, Willis Leach, Rusty Sullivan, Sammy Sullivan Sr. and Sammy Sullivan Jr.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Charlotte Ann Stevenson will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Ronald Dearman and Grady Woods officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery.
Mrs. Stevenson, 57, of Noxapater, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, at her home in Noxapater.
Survivors include her husband, Milton Stevenson of Noxapater; a daughter Michelle Gray of Philadelphia; a step-daughter, Tina Bracken of Meridian; two step-sons, Chris Stevenson of Louisville; and Keith Stevenson of Noxapater; two sisters, Tohynia George of Philadelphia; and Donna Drury of Louisville; a brother, Stuart Branning of Union; one grandchild and two step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 2 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
RAYMOND EARL ATKINSON
Services for Raymond Earl Atkinson will be held Monday at 11:30 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Sepheus Garrett officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Atkinson, 51, of Columbus, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, in Columbus.
Survivors include his mother, Lottie Atkinson Dearman of Meridian; two daughters, Felicia Atkinson Chisolm of Collinsville; and Stephanie Atkinson Huff of Fairborn, Ohio; two grandchildren, Preston J. Huff and Stephen J. Huff II, both of Fairborn; two brothers, Harvey A. Atkinson Sr., of Delbarton, Va., and Johnny L. Atkinson of Meridian; two sisters, Lavern Neville, of Stockport, Ohio; and Linda A. Ward, of Meridian; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin A. Atkinson, and a brother, Everett Eugene Atkinson.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Eloise Dearman Steed will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Spring Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. Paul Raley officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Steed, 92, of the Zero Community, died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2002, at Benchmark Health Care. She was a member of Spring Hill United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two nephews, Billy Joseph and H.S. Meador, and a niece, Quida Meador, all of Zero.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Dearman and her mother, Susie Butler Dearman.
The family requests memorials be made to Spring Hill United Methodist Church Men and Women's Club.
Visitation will be Monday from 1 p.m.-2 p.m. at the church.
Pallbearers will be Guy Meador, Dave Irby, T. J. Irby, Scottie Harwell, Kevin Frazier and Bryon Datusch.

Mr. Humphrey, 20, of Collinsville, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, at Heart Felt Hospice.
Survivors include his mother, Donna Crocker, and her husband, Linsley, of Collinsville; his father, William Ed Humphrey and a sister, Lisa Humphrey, both of Meridian; a step-sister, Susan Crocker, and a step-grandmother, Bessie Crocker, both of Collinsville; a grandmother, Carolyn Edwards of Mobile, Ala.; and two aunts, Evelyn Morre and Betty Humphrey.
Visitation will be held Monday from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Joseph W. Brown Sr. will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Bickford officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Brown, 93, of Meridian, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Four Square Church.
Survivors include his wife, Frankie Robinson Brown of Meridian; six children, Joseph W. Brown Jr. of Bastrop, Texas; Thomas E. Brown of Tampa, Fla.; Robert W. Brown of Anchorage, Alaska; Gerald L. Brown of Laurel; Carol B. Brown of Wilmington, Del.; and Hellen B. Cooper of Raymond; his twin sister, Jesse Willard Brown Stringer of Anchorage; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Carter, 71, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, at Riley Hospital.
Survivors include two daughters, Ophelia Boyd and her husband, Willie James Jr., of Athens, La.; and Peggie Crawford of Meridian; two sons, Bill Carter of Monroe, La.; and James Jordan and his wife, Carolyn, of Meridian; her father, Leonard Jordan Sr. and her step-mother, Ida Jordan, both of Meridian; three sisters, Yvonne Berry of Detroit; and Tina Dozier and her husband, Fred, and Linda Jordan, all of Meridian; a brother, Leonard Jordan Jr. of Biloxi; seven grandchildren and 10 great-granchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
