50th anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. John W. Clarke of Meridian celebrated their 50th anniversary with dinner and a night out at the Silver Star Casino, hosted by their children. The Clarkes were married Feb. 23, 1952, in Cincinnati, Ohio. They have four children: Edward Clarke of Meridian and his wife, Debbie; Nan Wade of Meridian and her husband, Steve; the late Richard W. Clarke of Laurel; and the late Debbie Clarke of Cincinnati. The Clarkes also have five grandchildren, Christina and Johnny Clarke, Leah and Hunter Clarke and Nikki Olson.
