NAS Meridian hosts change of command

Cmdr. Charles Aley will assume command of Training Squadron 9 on Friday during a 2 p.m. ceremony at Naval Air Station Meridian. The ceremony will take place at Hangar 1.
Aley, who has accumulated more than 4,900 flight hours and 500 arrested landings, received his "Wings of Gold" in 1984. He returned to Meridian in May 1988 as a flight instructor and has served as the executive officer of VT-9 since December 2000.
Cmdr. Al St. Clair has commanded the squadron since December 2000 and will now serve as the assistant air operations officer aboard the USS Constellation.
