When Ron Walton celebrates the grand opening of the building that will house his pool supply business, he will complete a 24-year dream.
Walton, vice president of All Around Pool &Spa, officially will open the doors to the 1200 Fifth St. business at a 4 p.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony today. Elected officials and local dignitaries are expected to attend.
The business services and sells swimming pools and spas to customers in Meridian and surrounding areas. It has been operating the last three years from the homes of Walton and company president John Bohl.
The new store features a spacious warehouse in the back of the building and a small showroom in the front featuring hot tubs, pool equipment and pool accessories.
Walton said that he and Bohl decided to move to a location in Meridian so customers would know that the business plans to be around for a long time.
Walton realized the demand for pool service shortly after he moved to Meridian. He said people have called from as far away as Jackson looking for someone to service their pool.
