OLA VELMA DONALD COODY
GILBERTOWN, Ala. Services for Ola Velma Donald Coody will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Barrytown Cemetery with Phillips Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Coody, 91, of Gilbertown, Ala., died Saturday, March 9, 2002, at Watkins Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include four sons, Nilon Newton Coody, William Jasper Coody and Benjamin Franklin Coody, all of Gilbertown; and Norman Lee Coody of Newport, Ohio; three daughters, Martha Elizabeth Coody Diamond, Vernell Coody Cooper and Margaret Coody Moore, all of Gilbertown; three brothers, Claude Donald of Vinegar Bend; Ellis Busby of Morton, and Emmitt Busby of Needham; two sisters, Mae Belle Jenkins of Gilbertown; and Bessie Jordan; 33 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren and 31 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
ALCYONE WARRINGTON POTTS

BROOKSVILLE Services for Alcyone Warrington Potts will be held Monday at 3 p.m. at Cockrell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Walt Porter officiating. Burial with private graveside services will be in Brooksville Cemetery with Cockrell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Potts, 93, of Hickory Flats, died Friday, March 8, 2002, at Trinity Healthcare Center in Columbus. She was a retired engineer and teacher.
Survivors include a daughter, Frances Potts Poche-King of Prussia, Pa.; two nephews, Terrell and James Warrington; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Robert and Rose Emma Wiseman Warrington.
The family requests that memorials be made to Palmer Home for Children, Bethel Presbyterian Church or the Brooksville Methodist Church.
Visitation will be Monday one hour before the service at the funeral home.
DEKALB Services for Lena Odom will be held Tuesday at noon at St. John Primitive Baptist Church in DeKalb with the Rev. Greg Watkins officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with E.E. McDonald Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Odom, 92, of DeKalb, died Thursday, March 7, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Juanita Odom of DeKalb, and Irene Johnson of New Orleans; a son, R.C. Odom of Daleville; a sister, Inola Larkin of Erie, Pa.; a brother-in-law, Jack Gale of DeKalb; 35 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by two daughters and a son.
Visitation will be Monday from noon to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
CARL JOHN OLANDER
Services for Carl John Olander will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church. Burial will be in Canton City Cemetery with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Olander, 74, of Meridian, died Saturday, March 9, 2002, in Melbourne, Fla. He was an owner and operator of a highway contractor company.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
