A collision between a sport utility vehicle and a pickup truck Friday morning in downtown Meridian sent one woman to a hospital.
Detective Deano Harper, Meridian Police Detective spokesman, said the accident involved a man driving a black Chevy truck and woman driving a Chevy Tahoe sport utility vehicle.
The accident is under investigation. The names of the drivers were not released.
Harper said he thought the woman was taken to Rush Foundation Hospital, where she was being kept overnight for tests.
Harper said preliminary indications are that the woman was driving southbound on 22nd Avenue, and the man was driving eastbound on A Street before the collision. The impact caused the woman's vehicle to flip over, he said. It came to a rest upside down a few feet south of the intersection.
Traffic was diverted from 22nd Avenue between A and B streets for about an hour.
