Peek, Whitaker

Beth Barham and Scotty Peek, both of Meridian, announce the engagement of their daughter, Britney Jade Peek, to Michael Ryan Whitaker, son of Kimberly Whitaker and Mike Whitaker, both of Quitman.
The oceanside wedding will be held Saturday, March 9, 2002, at 4 p.m. in Orange Beach, Ala.
Miss Peek is the granddaughter of O.C. and Ruth Barham of Meridian, Mildred Peek of Meridian and the late Edwin Rush Peek.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Meridian High School and is attending Jones Junior College pursuing a degree in elementary education.
At Jones, she is a member of the tennis and soccer teams and Fellowship of Christian Athlete. She also served as Sophomore Homecoming Maid. Miss Peek is employed by the Sportsplex of Laurel.
Mr. Whitaker is the grandson of Elder and Carolyn Bailey, Billy and Catherine Whitaker, all of Quitman.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Quitman High School and received a degree in business administration from Jones Junior College.
While attending Jones, he was a member of the baseball team. He is now attending the University of Southern Mississippi studying finance and economics. Mr. Whitaker is employed by Courtesy Ford of Hattiesburg.
A reception will be held at Phoenix V in Orange Beach.
