Arrest made in shooting

A Meridian man was free on bond today after being arrested Sunday in connection with a Feb. 19 shooting that left one man injured.
Detective Deano Harper, spokesman for the Meridian Police Department, said Dewayne M. Robert, 20, 3520 11th Street, was charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling and drive-by shooting.
Robert also was charged with speeding, no proof of insurance and improper passing.
The Feb. 19 shooting took place at the corner of 15th Street and 34th Avenue. Willy Williams was shot in the leg and drove himself to Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center for help.
