The marriage of Bonnie Walker of Meridian and Terrianda DeWayne Collins of Atlanta was solemnized Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, at the Boys and Girls Club with the Rev. Paul Clayton officiating.
Parents of the couple are Lula Mae Walker, Gene Autry Collins and Arthur Marie Collins of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bride are Henry James Walker and the late Mary Walker.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Minnie Jackson, Bernice Collins and the late Eugene Collins Sr.
Nuptial music was provided by Betty McFarland and Roshundia Lewis. Bell ringer was Justin Kimbrough. Poem reader was Linda Johnson.
The bride was escorted by her uncle, James Fox and given in marriage by her mother. She wore a white slim fitted off-the-shoulder gown accented with buttons cascading down the back meeting a bow. The gown also featured a cathedral-length detachable train. She wore a head band covered in layers of white roses and carried a bouquet of matching roses with ivy.
Kimberly Cross of Meridian served as maid of honor. Other attendants were Tamicka Sanford, Michelle Jimerson and Toya Dockery of Meridian, Pamela Davis of Mobile, Ala., and Veronica Ott of Atlanta.
Junior bride was Valencia Fox of Meridian, cousin of the bride. Bridal assistants were Cassandra Bradley, Phyllis Jones and Rita Irby. Calisha Crowell, cousin of the bride, and Tajah Collins, daughter of the bridegroom, both of Meridian, were flower girls.
Program attendants were Pamela Littleton and Tonya Ruffin.
Billy Baylor of Meridian served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Lavell Collins, Anthony Collins, Antonio Collins and Rodriques Collins, all of Meridian.
Junior bridegroom was Terrianda Collins Jr. of Meridian, son of the bridegroom. Jaelin Cross of Meridian was ring bearer. Bible carrier was Roderick Darden.
A reception was held at the Boys and Girls Club reception hall following the ceremony. Servers were Lula Ifill, Cassandra Bradley, Tina Pou, Linda Johnson, Wayne Dooley, Pamela Littleton, Patricia Russell, Penny Witherspoon, Shirley Palmer and Vernon Palmer.
After a honeymoon, the couple resides in Atlanta.
