Services for Joe A. Rawson will be held Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at Russell Baptist Church with the Revs. Keith Thrash, David Holifield, Clay Chancelor and Wilton Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Old Marion Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Rawson, 60, of Russell, died Thursday, April 4, 2002, in his home. He was a member of Russell Baptist Church and a veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Butler Rawson of Russell; a son, Paul G. Rawson and his wife, Barbie, of Meridian; daughters, Leigh Ann R. Masters and her husband, Wayne, of Anderson, Ind., and Kellie R. McMullen and her husband, Marty, of Meridian; sisters, Kay R. Stegall and Jean R. Pippin, a grandson, Blake McMullen and a granddaughter, Lexie Rawson, all of Meridian.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest V. Rawson.
The family requests memorials be made to Gideon's International.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Powell, Bobby McElroy, Don Cagle, Butch Harper, Glenn McInnis, Jimmy Harper and Bobby Pugh. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Number One Sunday School Class.
Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home and 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.

Services for Trudie Moore Britt will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Keith Grubbs officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mrs. Britt, 91, of New York, died Tuesday, April 2, 2002, in New York.
Survivors include a son, Walter L. Britt Jr. of New York; sisters, Frances Weathers and Nadine Taylor of Meridian and Beatrice Williams of Florida; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dwayne Williams, Lamar Moore, James Weathers, Charles Weathers, Bobby Robinson and Billy Weathers.
Visitation will be Sunday from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Eugene J. White will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Gary Smith officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mr. White, 72, of Meridian, died Thursday, April 4, 2002, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Mitchell White of Meridian; two sons, John Mitchell White and his wife, Nicki, of Ocerfield Beach, Fla.; and Thomas Eugene White and his wife, Angela, of Foley, Ala.; a brother, Robert L. White of Mobile, Ala.; a sister, Dorthy Dyche and her husband, Everette, of Mobile; two uncles, Willis M. Goolsby and his wife, Doris, of Auburn, Ala.; and Griffin Goolsby of Bruton, Ala.; an aunt, Lois Corrales of Mobile; two sisters-in-law, Annie M. Abraham of Meridian; and Louise Seide of West Palm Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren, Nicole White of Ocerfield Beach; and Christin Thomas White and Dustin Scott White, all of Foley; a niece, Teresa Dyche of Mobile; and two cousins, Willisa Vail and Marion Goolsby.
Pallbearers will be Manny Mitchell, Bilbo Mitchell, Scott Hudson, David Ray, Ralph Abraham and Woodie Abraham.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
