Reeves, Welch

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Frink and Kenneth Reeves of Decatur announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Nicole Reeves, to Charles Preston Welch, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Ledbetter of Benton and Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Welch Jr. of Laurel.
The wedding will be held Saturday, May 4, 2002, at 2 p.m. at Oakland Baptist Church in Decatur.
Miss Reeves is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Herschel James of Decatur, Ozell Reeves of Decatur and the late Singleton Reeves.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Newton County High School and received an associate's degree in dental hygiene from Meridian Community College. She is currently employed in Jackson.
The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Helen Edwards of Bogalusa, La., and the late Vick Edwards, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred M. Welch Sr. of Franklinton, La.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Byram High School and attended Hinds Community College and Mississippi State University. He is employed with Rajam Enterprises in Yazoo City.
A reception will be held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony. Family and friends are invited to attend.
