Mr. and Mrs. Donald Mark Whiddon of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Angela Marie, to Wesley Michael Shelton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Don Shelton of Columbus.
The wedding will be held Saturday, June 1, 2002, at 3 p.m. at Annunciation Catholic Church in Columbus.
Miss Whiddon is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James McKay Jr. of Canton; and Christine Whiddon of Ridgeland and the late James D. Whiddon.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Lamar High School and received a degree in interior design from Mississippi State University.
While attending MSU, she was a member of Tri-Delta Sorority.
Miss Whiddon is employed by Pryor/Morrow Architects in Columbus.
Mr. Shelton is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. H.G. Earwood Jr. of Corinth and Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Shelton of Columbus. He is the great-grandson of Mamie Dorroh of Columbus.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Immanuel High School and received a degree in marketing from Mississippi State University.
Mr. Shelton is employed by Bell Building Supply of Starkville.
A reception will be held at the Columbus Country Club following the ceremony.
