Jellenc Construction rallies for U-12 win

In 12-under softball action on Monday night at Northeast Park, Jellenc Construction scored three runs in the bottom of the fourth to come back and defeat Foot Clinic 10-9.
Foot Clinic scored five runs in the top of the fourth to take the lead 9-7 late but Jellenc Construction scored three runs in its last at bat to take the victory.
Lauren Tardo had a single and home run for Jellenc Construction and Kayla Boutwell had a single and double. Lynzie Warren also added in two singles.
For Foot Clinic, Holly Sonak had a double and single. Kasie Buckley had a double and Alexandra White also had a double.
Salad Factory 8
Ed Chaney Tire 6
Salad Factory scored four runs in the first inning and four runs in the fourth to take the win over Ed Chaney Tire 8-6 in 12-under action.
Ed Chaney Tire took the lead 6-4 in the third, but gave up four runs in the bottom of the fourth and was unable to come back in the final inning.
J.J. Frazier had a single and triple for Salad Factory. Sarah Scarbrough had two singles and Ashlan Fisher added a triple and single.
For Ed Chaney Tire, Kylie Rowell had a home run and a single. Kimberly Matthews also added a single and homer while Amanda Nester had a triple.
Kemp Electric 10
Judge Little 5
In the final 12-under game of the night Kemp Electric scored four runs in the first and six runs in the third inning to defeat Judge Little 10-5.
Andrea Wilson helped led the offense for Kemp Electric with a single and home run. Taylor Shock added two doubles and K.K. Sims also had a singled and home run.
For Judge Little in the loss, Rachel White had two doubles. Keri Graham and Kathyrn Rawlings added a single apiece.
Insurance Solution 10
Sara Lee 8
Insurance Solution scored eight runs in the first inning and held on for a 10-8 victory over Sara Lee in 8-under softball.
Sara Lee had four runs in the first inning and three runs in the top of the fourth but it was not enough to take the victory.
Madie Covert had a single and home run for Insurance Solutions. Katie Vance had a single and triple while Tabetha Deavers had a double.
Kaylee Watkins led Sara Lee with two singles and a home run. Mallory Reynolds added in two singles and a double.
Under-8
Medical Store 8
Chick-Fil-A 5
Medical Store scored five runs in the first inning and scored two in the top of the fourth to secure an 8-5 win over Chick-Fil-A in 8-under softball.
Chick-Fil-A scored three runs in the first and two runs in the third but could not come from behind to take the win.
Kristen Meyers had a single and double for Medical Store while Lauren Meyers also added a single and double.
Callie Roper led Chick-Fil-A with a double.
Southern Sportsman 11
Waste Management 10
Southern Sportsman scored five runs in the third and five runs in the bottom of the fourth to comeback and take a 11-10 victory over Waste Management.
Waste Management scored seven runs in the second to take the early lead and scored three in the fourth to make the score 10-6 going into the bottom half of the last inning. Southern Sportsman plated five runs to take the victory.
Kelsey Creel had a homer for Southern Sportsman. Leighann Lewis had two singles and a double while Amanda Baker had a double and triple.
For Waste Management, Kendal Carpenter had a double and home run. Lindsey Beard had a single and triple while Katie Jenkins had two singles and a triple in the loss.
Under-10
Hospice South 9
United Fence 7
Hospice South scored five runs in the first and four runs in the third to take the victory over United Fence in 10-under softball.
United Fence scored in every inning including four runs in the second but could not pick up the win.
Sarah Beckman had a home run and Lauren Zetter had a single and home run for Hospice South. Alexa Covington had a double for United Fence while Adrienne McMullen had a double and Emily Willis had a single in the loss.
