Mr. and Mrs. Arthur E. Matthews of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Tara Aislinn, to Ben Arthur Webb, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Webb of Meridian.
The wedding will be held Saturday, May 4, 2002, at 4 p.m. at the Episcopal Church of the Mediator.
Miss Matthews is the granddaughter of Winnie May and the late James Durwood May and the late Mr. and Mrs. James C. Matthews, all of Meridian.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Northeast Lauderdale High School and received a degree in sociology, with a minor in art, from Mississippi State University.
Miss Matthews is co-owner of the Music Emporium.
Mr. Webb is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Merrell, Wendell Webb and the late Christine Webb, all of Meridian.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Washington Academy in Greenville and attended Delta State University. He received a degree in business and marketing from Mississippi State University.
Mr. Webb is employed by Long Wholesale, Inc.
A reception will be held in the church parish hall following the ceremony. Family and friends are invited to attend.
