Services for Mary Elizabeth Thompson Jenkins will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home with the Revs. Bob Null and Francis Vlok officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mrs. Jenkins, 90, of Meridian, died Sunday, April 28, 2002, in her home. She was a retired executive secretary for several former directors of East Mississippi State Hospital. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include five daughters, Junice Moody-Mitchell, Ann Wimberly-Plowman, Carol Killam and her husband, Mark, of Texas, Joan Leslie Jenkins, Faye Ethridge and her husband, Thomas, of Petal; 18 grandchildren, Steve Moody, Michelle Blood, Leigh Barber, Julie Mitchell, Belynda Bramlett, Sheryl Powell, William "Rusty" Powell, Michael D. Powell, Lauren Clay, Janis Overby, Cynda Wimberly, Bud Wimberly, Jada Freeman, Suzanne Kiesling, Gregory Killam, Jason Killam, Tammy Ethridge and Thomas Ethridge III; 37 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lesley Harvey Jenkins, her parents, Hiram H. and Lurah Thompson, a daughter, Jean Powell, a grandchild, Gina Wimberly and a son-in-law, Jerry Plowman.
Pallbearers will be Steve Moody, Rusty Powell, Thomas Ethridge, the Rev. Mark Killam, Jimmy Bramlett, Bruce Clay, John Overby, Jeff Freeman, Bud Wimberly, Caleb Clay and Richie Bailey.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.- 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

BUTLER, Ala. Services for Deana Sparrow were held Sunday at Hopewell Baptist Church with the Revs. Franklin McLelland, Russell Wray and Michael Etheridge officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with Bumpers Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Sparrow, 70, of Ozark, died Thursday, April 25, 2002, at Dale Medical Center.
Survivors include a daughter, Ouida Outlaw of Ozark; two step-daughters, Betty Varnum of Anniston and Lyndia Borgmann of Butler, N.J.; three sisters, Jo Harry and Polly Littlepage, both of Butler, and Thelma Watson of Texas; a brother, Jake Maxwell of Mobile; two sons-in-law, Dale Outlaw of Ozark and Glen Borgmann of Butler, N.J.; a sister-in-law, Janell Maxwell of Butler; and seven grandchildren.
HOWARD ODELL TOLBERT

Services for Howard Odell Tolbert will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wallace Terry officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Neshoba County. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Tolbert, 82, of Jackson, died Saturday, April 27, 2002, at the Mississippi State Veterans Home. He worked for 20 years at NAS Meridian as a security officer and in the Commissary Warehouse. He was a devoted husband and father. He retired from the U.S. Navy as a chief electronics technician having served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Jones Tolbert of Pearl; two sons, George Allen Tolbert and his wife, Jeanette, of Crystal Springs, and Michael Joseph Tolbert of Metairie, La.; a grandson, Matthew Allen Tolbert of Crystal Springs; a brother, M.E. Tolbert of Duffee; sisters, Ruth Hand and Nadene Phillips, both of Collinsville; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.- 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

A memorial service has been scheduled Wednesday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Meridian for Sadie Kendall Knight, 95, of Meridian, who died Sunday, April 28, 2002, at Beverly HealthCare-Broadmoor. Affectionately known as "Miss Sadie" to generations of Meridian children, she for many years operated a daycare center from her Highland Park home.
