The Sports Bulletin Board normally runs on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. There are three ways to submit items for publication. GOLF TOURNAMENTS
MERIDIAN SYMPHONY LEAGUE GOLF TOURNAMENT
The Meridian Symphony League is having its sixth annual Twilight Scramble Saturday, May 11, at Lakeview Golf Course. All benefits from the tournament help raise money for the Children's Concert presented by the Meridian Symphony Orchestra. The tournament is a three-man scramble with a shotgun start at 5:30 p.m. Prizes are awarded to first through third places. The $50 per person entry fee includes green fee, cart, t-shirt, huggie and lighted ball. This year there will be a party after the tournament with live music by Rubber Soul 9 p.m.- 12 p.m. The Twilight Scramble is open to the public and teams may register now until the day of the tournament. Cowboy Maloney's Golf Tourney
Cowboy's Maloney Golf Tournament will be held Monday, May 13 at the Country Club in Jackson. There will be a shotgun start at noon. Entry fee is $100 per person and includes golf, cart, green fees, along with lunch, refreshments and prizes. For more information call Eddie Maloney or Wanda Boykin at 948-5600.
Jeff Bower Annual Golf Tournament
The annual Jeff Bower Golf Tournament will be held May 13, at Northwood Country Club in Meridian. Each group will play the 17th hole with coach Bower, the 11th hole with Dick Vogel and the second hole with John Miller and Sammy Winder. On these three holes you will also have a chance to win a car or SUV for a hole-in-one. Lunch begins at 11 a.m. with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. with social hour begins at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at Northwood at 6:30 p.m. Costs are $115, golf, one lunch, goodie bag, tournament shirt and one dinner; $175, golf, one dinner, tournament shirt and sponsorship; $100 per hole sponsorship; $20 social and dinner only. Quitman Country Club Annual 4-Ball Invitational
There will be a 4-ball invitational June 8-9, tee times are 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. each day. Entry fee is $200 per team. Prizes will be awarded for first through third place. A catfish supper with all the trimmings Saturday night, Calcutta and music Saturday night, food and drinks each day on the course. Causeyville Raceway
The Go-Kart racing season is under way at Causeyville Raceway. Causeyville Raceway is located two miles south of Causeyville on the Causey-Clarke Rd. For more information, call 644-3535.
BASEBALL TOURNAMENTS
USSA Baseball Tournament
Natchitoches, La., will play host to a USSA Baseball Tournament. The tournament will be held on May 11-12 in Natchitoches at Highland Park. This tournament is open to all 12 and 14 year-old teams. Brett McClendon Memorial Baseball Classic
A baseball tournament will be held on June 7-9 at Bearpen Park in Cleveland. There will be two age groups 12 under and 13 under. Fee is $200 with three games guaranteed. All money will go to a scholarship at Delta State University. For more information call Destry Harmon at 662-742-4242.
Pensacola Summer Classic
The Pensacola "Summer Classic" Super Series Baseball of America National Qualifying Tournament will be held June 7-9. Individual ages are 8U-12U Coach pitch. Pensacola Firecracker Classic
