EMEPA schedules early-morning outage for maintenance work

Electric service to 3,500 homes and businesses served by the East Mississippi Electric Power Association will be interrupted for about an hour at approximately 2 a.m. Wednesday.
The EMEPA's wholesale power supplier, Mississippi Power Co., will perform maintenance during that time on the transmission line serving the Briarwood and Collinsville substations.
The following areas will be affected: Briarwood Estates, Ponta Hills Road, Eagle Pointe, Collinsville, Lake Ross Collins, Martin, Schamberville and Duffee.
Also affected: Van Zyverden Road, Highway 19 north of Collinsville, Northeast Lauderdale High School and Andrew's Chapel to Navy Base Access Road.
