Mississippi Public Service Commissioners could decide within a month whether to give the Dalewood Sewer District authority to provide sewer service.
Commissioner Nielsen Cochran said he wants to spend the next few weeks looking over documents and exhibits presented during a day-long PSC hearing on Thursday.
The Dalewood Sewer District is seeking PSC approval called a certificate of public convenience and necessity to provide a wastewater collection and treatment system in the Dalewood Shores Lake area.
Supporters and opponents of the proposal presented their sides to the three-member PSC panel in a hearing that started at 10 a.m. and ended at about 5 p.m.
