A trip to the Bonita Lakes Mall on Saturday dressed as a famous super hero could land a child a front-row seat the next day for the "Who Wants to be a Super Hero" show near J.C. Penney.
All children 12 and under can enter the 1 p.m. contest dressed as their favorite super hero.
Contestants will be judged on originality, creativity and overall appearance of the costume. Costumes may be purchased or hand-made. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. at Center Court.
Besides the costume contest, Saturday's activities also will include an opportunity to win Spider-Man prizes.
Anyone of any age can visit participating retailers and enter to win Spider-Man prizes, including beach balls, water toys, Spider-Man books and other items.
Additional names will be pulled for front row seats to the Sunday shows. Due to the large number of
spectators expected for the show, chairs will not be available; rather, viewers may sit on the floor.
A section up front will be reserved for costume contest winners. The first 125 children at each show on Sunday can visit the Clear Channel table to claim a free Marvel comic book.
Additional information about the Spider-Man visit, the super-hero contest and other events are available at www.bonitalakesmall.com. People also can call 693-4960.
