Cindy Lynn Peterson and Shawn David Kasper of Meridian were married Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002, in a 3 p.m. ceremony at Poplar Springs Drive United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Richard Robbins officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Peterson and Mr. and Mrs. John Kasper, all of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bride are the late Mr. and Mrs. Parr Peterson and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ruggles all of Fredericktown, Ohio.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Alice Kasper and the late Frank Kasper of Shepherd, Mich., and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Harpole of Marianna, Ark.
Nuptial music was provided by Bonnie Willis, soloist, and Anita Lee, pianist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a gown of candlelight peau satin overlaid with embroidered lace. The bodice of the gown featured an off-the-shoulder neckline and cap sleeves. The back of the gown featured a fish tail train which fell from a double bow at the waistline.
Serving as matron of honor was Lori Wiggins of Collinsville, sister of the bride. Other attendants were Ashton Kasper of Fairhope, Ala., daughter of the bridegroom, and Sheri Culpepper of Toomsuba, sister of the bridegroom.
Jay Kasper of Fairhope, Ala., served his father as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Glenn Kasper of Meridian, brother of the bridegroom; Kevin Peterson of Meridian, brother of the bride; Kyle Wiggins of Collinsville, nephew of the bride; and Alan Kasper of Pachuta, brother of the bridegroom.
Program attendants was Kaylee Kasper of Meridian, neice of the bridegroom.
A reception was held at the church following the ceremony. Assisting at the reception were Allison Newell, Polly Boone, Macon Boone,and Katy Watkins,all of Meridian; and Melynda Keller of Calera, Ala.
After a honeymoon in Orlando, Fla., the couple resides in Meridian.
