Services for Gloria B. Nuckolls will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Epicopal Church with the Revs. Wade Merrill, Edward O' Conner and Harriett Simmons officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Nuckolls, 71, of Meridian, died Sunday, June 2, 2002, in London, England. She was a homemaker and member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Nuckolls of Meridian; three daughters, Connie Howle and her husband, Bob, and Julie Wells and her husband, Jeff, all of Jackson and Lisa Love and her husband, Larry, of Meridian; a brother, Jay Brown of Chattanooga, Tenn.; an aunt, Elizabeth Rogers of Chattanooga; and seven grandchildren, Melissa Love, Sara Love, Mary Lawrence Love, Allison Wells, Jason Wells, Charles Ruckstuhl and Ellie Metz.
The family requests memorials be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church or the American Heart Association. Pallbearers will be the vestry of St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
Visitation will be Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until service time at St. Paul's Parish Hall.
JOHNNIE WHITTINGTON

BUTLER, Ala. Services for Johnnie Whittington will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby Shipp officiating. Burial will be in the Resthaven Cemetery. Bumpers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Whittington, 92, of Albany, Ore., died Wednesday, May 29, 2002, in Albany. Mr. Whittington was retired as a supervisor at the city sanitation department.
Survivors include a son, James Whittington of Albany; a sister, Julia Manley of Needham; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
CHARLIE LEE JONES

Services for Charlie Lee Jones will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at New Era Missionary Baptist Church with the Revs. Roderick Steele and Michael Spears officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Enterprise Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Jones, 77, of Meridian, died Tuesday, June 4, 2002, in his home. He was retired from East Mississippi Power Company.
Survivors include his wife, Willie Mae Jones of Meridian; sons, Charlie Jones Jr. and Johnnie Jones, both of Meridian; daughters, Lucille Talison of Gardena, Calif., Jessie Spears, Jessie Wright, Betty Seales and Linday Fay Jones, all of Meridian; sisters, Sally Floyd of Chicago and Laura Martin of Meridian; 33 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today 3 p.m.-6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Mazella M. McAlister will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Jones officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mrs. McAlister, 85, of Meridian, died Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at Heartfelt Hospice. She was a member of State Boulvard Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Dr. Richard M. McAlister Jr. and his wife, Alma, of Collinsville; her daughter, Sue Ammon and her husband, Jake, of Collinsville; a sister, Madge Ethridge of Collinsville; grandchildren, Mandy, Richie, Katie, and Rusty McAlister; Leigh and Paige Ammon, all of Collinsville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard M. McAlister Sr.; her father, Oscar Moore and her mother, Mary Sula McAlister.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.- 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arrangements are incomplete at Barham Funeral Home for Elton Monroe Snowden, 92, of Meridian, who died Thursday, June 6, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
For 49 years, from 1937 until 1986, Mr. Snowden owned and operated the E.M. Snowden Shell Service Station at the corner of Sixth Street and 19th Avenue in downtown Meridian.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Almeta Covington Snowden of Meridian; two daughters, Dr. Gail Snowden Hasson and her husband, John, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Gloria Snowden Hilliard and her husband, Michael, of Agoura Hills, Calif.; a son, State Rep. Greg Snowden and his wife, Renee, of Meridian; six grandchildren, Dr. Holly Hasson Griswold of Cummings, Ga., Alicia Hasson Parr of Olive Branch, Amber Christine Hilliard of Simi Valley, Calif., Aaron Paul Hilliard of Calabasas, Calif., and Emily Gay Snowden and Katherine Covington Snowden, both of Meridian; five great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Johnathan and Anna Claire Parr, all of Olive Branch and Sharayah and Madison Griswold, both of Cummings, Ga.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John W. "Buddy" Snowden and Emily Moore "Bird" Snowden of the Center Hill community.
