It wasn't an angel that Andy Armstrong ran into on his biking adventure in Germany on Friday, but the man was nevertheless dressed in white.
Andy and his grandson, Eric, are in the midst of biking across Europe. And after getting lost on the way to Kleve, Germany, they ran into a man dressed in white who helped them find their way.
Andy said he and Eric met the man who was from Aruba near the bridge that runs over the Maas River. And, he said, the man guided them all the way to Kleve.
For lunch, the three ate at one of the fanciest restaurants in town. Andy said the meal was expensive, but not filling.
The bikers eventually made it to Kleve, where they stayed with the family of Ken Norman. Andy knows Norman's relatives, who live in Newton.
Andy said he and his grandson have had trouble learning the different road signs in Germany and hope to have better luck finding their destinations in the future.
The two will continue their journey through Germany today.
