Graveside services for Julia Jumper were held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Magnolia Cemetery with the Revs. David McCubbin and Dr. Raymon Leake officiating. Stephens Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Jumper, 86, of Meridian, died Sunday, June 30, 2002, at Heartfelt Hospice. She was retired as an assistant manager of Mangel's and Lerners. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Hope Sunday School Class, Past Worthy Matron and Margaret Pickett Chapter Order of the Eastern Star in Toomsuba.
Survivors include her daughter, Nadyne Jumper Schindler of Meridian; a granddaughter, Julie Schindler Bryan of Sevierville, Tenn.; a great-grandson, David Ray Bryan; two sisters, Wilma Hicks of Marion and Lillian Harper of Rose Hill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jumper; and a brother Cecil Moulds.
Honorary pallbearers were members of the Hope Sunday School Class.

DEKALB Services for John Lee Boren were to be held today at 10 a.m. at Bay Springs Baptist Church with the Revs. Tim Horton and R.L. Hunnicutt officiating. Burial was to be in Bay Springs Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Boren, 87, of Porterville, died Monday, July 1, 2002, at Mississippi Health Care of DeKalb.
Survivors include his wife, Jewel Boren of Porterville; two daughters, Ruth Key and Edna Eldridge, both of DeKalb; two sons, Henry Lee Boren of Porterville and James Edward Boren of Meridian; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two brothers, Bolie Boren of DeKalb and Att Boren of Meridian; three sisters, Ella Puckett of Porterville, Pearl Collier and Margie McLean, both of Meridian.
CARMEN HOLT
Services for Carmen Holt will be held today at 1:30 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with Elders Chris Hollingsworth and B.T. Strum officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Holt, 77, of Chunky, died Monday, July 1, 2002, at Heartfelt Hospice. She was a member of Union Primitive Baptist Church in Chunky.
Survivors include her husband, Lavell Holt of Chunky; a son, Philip Holt and his wife, Donna, of Hickory; a daughter, Evarette Zachary and her husband, Larry, of Brandon; eight grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harry Beemon and his wife, Elizabeth, of Chunky and Harvey Beemon and his wife, Helen Ann, of Quitman; and a sister, Clara Crabtree of Chunky.
She was preceded in death by a son, Keith Holt; a grandson, Dustin Holt; and a brother, Gressett Beemon.
Pallbearers will be Tim Beemon, Tony Holt, Jimmy Johnson, David Mitchell, Jeff Zachary and Mike Zachary.

BUTLER, Ala. Services for Samuel Paul Catt Jr. will be held today at 3 p.m. at Bumpers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mitchell Presley officiating. Burial will be in Womack Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Catt, 23, of Ponte Vedre, Fla., died Sunday, June 30, 2002, in St. Augustine, Fla.
Survivors include his father, Samuel Paul Catt Sr. of Ponte Vedra; his mother, Allie Mae Martin of Vance, Ala.; brothers, Jonathan Lester Catt of Orange City, Fla., and Lonnie Gerald Catt of Vance; sisters, Tara Leanne Catt and Joy Nicole Coker, both of Florence, Ala.; and his grandmother, Bertie Logan of Gilbertown, Ala.
Visitation will be today 9 a.m.-noon at the funeral home.

QUITMAN Services for Abbie Ruby Parker will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Boutwell officiating. Burial will be in Serene Memorial Gardens in Pascagoula.
Mrs. Parker, 79, of Quitman, died Monday, July 1, 2002, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital in Quitman.
Survivors include her son, Thomas Stokley of Pascagoula; two daughters, Margie Williams of Quitman and Betty Belcher of Pascagoula; a brother, Elbert Johnson of Monroe, La.; four sisters, Flora Windham of Mobile, Ala., Agnes Day of Saraland, Ala., Elsie Grace of Orlando, Fla., and Flo Pearl Neal of Quitman; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, Abb Johnson and Dee Burns; and a son, Vince Stokley.
Pallbearers will be Frankie Dyke, Eric Belcher, Chris Ehlers, Mark Belcher and Jake Stockman.
Visitation will be today after 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

MACON Services for Robert C. Dugan will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Cockrell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Darren Chester officiating. Burial will be in Shuqualak Cemetery.
Mr. Dugan, 46, of Shuqualak, died Sunday, June 30, 2002, at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Jackson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a plant manager of the Kemper Pressure Pole Mill in Electric Mills.
Survivors include his mother, Billie Dugan of Las Vegas; his father, Bob Dugan of Shuqualak; a son, Bobby Dugan of Shuqualak; two grandchildren; and a brother, Greg Dugan of Las Vegas.
Visitation will be Friday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
JOHN EVAN NORSWORTHY
QUITMAN Services for John Evan Norsworthy were held Sunday at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Mark McNair, James Irby and Dennis Coats officiating. Burial was in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Norsworthy, 85, of Quitman, died Friday, June 28, 2002, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital in Quitman.
Survivors include his wife, Onie A. Norsworthy; two sons, Joe Norsworthy and his wife, Carol Ann, of Quitman and Doug Norsworthy and his wife, Mary, of Plano, Texas; two sisters, Sibyl Rhodes of Mobile, Ala., and Agnes Lewis of Meridian; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Cooper's Chapel Methodist Church building fund.
Pallbearers were Dale Moore, Horace Reese, Stanley Holloman, J.C. Dearman, Mallie Dearman, Howard Hunter, Greg Carney,and Franklin "Red" Wilkins.
