Olson, Thompson

Mr. and Mrs. Mel Douglas Olson of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Melanie N., to Christopher W. Thompson, son of Judge and Mrs. Gerald Wayne Thompson of Meridian.
The wedding will be Saturday, Sept. 7, 2002, at 6 p.m. at Hebron Baptist Church.
Miss Olson is the granddaughter of Jewell Wyckoff and Leola Ethridge, both of Meridian, Mr. and Mrs. James Edwards of Mobile, Ala., and the late Melvin Olson.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Meridian High School and received an associate's degree in radiologic sciences from the respiratory therapy program at Meridian Community College.
While attending MCC, she was a member of MSRT, HOSA, FTA and the National Honor Society.
Miss Olson is employed by LabCorp as an x-ray technologist.
Mr. Thompson is the grandson of Louise Thompson of Meridian and the late Woody Thompson, and Mr. and Mrs. E.V. Ballard of Meridian.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Southeast Lauderdale High School. He is employed by Structural Steel.
A reception will be held at the church following the ceremony.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
