Kemper County Sheriff's deputies charged a 19-year-old Scooba man on Friday with the shooting death of his neighbor.
Kemper County Sheriff Sam Tisdale said that Eddie Williams remained in the Kemper County jail Friday night.
Williams is charged with capital murder and burglary in connection with the death of Theotis Cross, 52, of Scooba. Cross was found shot dead in the doorway of his home on August 28.
Tisdale said the murder apparently happened after an apparent argument between the two men.
Tisdale said the investigation is still ongoing.
