Howard and Monica Gibson of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Tara, to Jerome Moore, son of Bruce and Brenda Moore of Quitman.
The wedding will be Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, at 4 p.m. at First United Pentecostal Church in Quitman.
Miss Gibson is the granddaughter of Mary Lee Webb and the late Robert Webb, and Mary and Ray Gibson, all of Meridian.
The bride-elect is a graduate of The King's Academy in Meridian and The Academy of Hair Design in Pearl. She is employed with Meridian Financial Services.
Mr. Moore is the grandson of George and Sue Birmingham of Booneville, and Paul and Edith Moore of Quitman.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Quitman High School. He is employed with the Meridian Police Department.
A reception will be held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
