Businessman Robert St. John says Meridian is perfect for new restaurants with a long-range plan.
A 20-year restaurant veteran, St. John is opening his first restaurant outside of Hattiesburg in Meridian because he sees similarities in the two cities.
St. John has fielded requests from other parts of the state.
St. John said there is a key to surviving in the restaurant business.
