ACCIDENT SURVIVOR – Emergency workers help carry a Tennessee woman to an ambulance after an accident on Interstate 20/59 in which her convertible Chrysler Sebring apparently crossed the median, flipped twice and landed on the eastbound lane.
The unidentified woman, shown raising her hands from the stretcher, apparently survived the one-car accident without serious injury. The accident happened about 2:30 p.m.
Monday east of Meridian. A witness said the convertible was headed west and passing another vehicle near the Alabama state line when the accident occurred. The woman was taken to a local hospital.
