Rea Nicole Brown of Meridian and Hubert Glenn Thrash Jr. of Newton were married Saturday, July 27, 2002, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. The Rev. Terry Upchurch officiated the 2 p.m. ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Ronald and Robin Brown of Meridian, and Glenn and Linda Thrash of Newton.
Grandparents of the bride are Eugene and Laverne Robinson of Meridian, and Joseph and Faye Vanik of Miami.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Joe and Pauline Rogers of Pearl, Louise Cooper of Magnolia and the late Cecil Cooper.
Nuptial music for the ceremony was provided by Sabrina Matthews of Meridian.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Rachelle Lyons attended her sister as maid of honor. Nichole Blackwell of Jackson and Courtney Cole of Richland served as flower girls.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Ushers were Shane Robinson and Vince Vincent, both of Meridian.
A reception was held in the fellowship hall of the church following the ceremony. Assisting at the reception were Rachelle Lyons, Lisa Vincent and Kim Robinson.
After a honeymoon in Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel, the couple resides in Meridian.
