PHILADELPHIA Nissan Motor Co. will be here from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday at the National Guard Armory, 911 Herman Alford Memorial Highway, to recruit employees for its Canton plant.
Representatives from Nissan and the Mississippi Employment Security Commission will take applications for production technicians and resums for maintenance technicians, human resources representatives and production supervisors.
The plant, just east of Interstate 55 and south of Canton, is scheduled to open next summer and is expected to eventually employ about 5,300 people. Workers will manufacture pickup trucks, sport utility vehicles and the next generations of minivans and Altimas.
