DEKALB Services for Dr. Prentiss F. Keyes will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at DeKalb Baptist Church with the Rev. James A. Ruffin officiating. Burial will be in the Old Marion Cemetery in Lauderdale County. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Dr. Keyes, 76, of DeKalb, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a retired family practice physician. Dr. Keyes was a member of DeKalb Baptist Church,the American Medical Association and Mississippi State Medical Association. He was past president of East Mississippi State Medical Society, diplomat of the American Academy of Family Physicians, a member of the Mississippi Academy of Family Physicians, a life member of Mississippi State University Alumni Association and an active member of the University of Mississippi Alumni Association.
He was a member of the Navy League and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and in the European Conflict. He retired as a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Irene P. Keyes; a son, Prentiss F. Keyes Jr. of Hattiesburg; a daughter, Misty Lynn DeCoux and her husband, Bobby; four grandchildren, Adam Stokes, Cory Stokes, Remy DeCoux and Chase DeCoux of Powder Springs, Ga.; two brothers, Harold Keyes and his wife, Martha Ann, John Keyes and his wife, Russelyn; four sisters, Nell K. Wright, Betty K. Barber and her husband, Vince, Mary K. Skelton of Meridian and Emily K. Alger and her husband, William G.. of Houston, Texas' and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Prentiss Keyes and Mable B. Keyes' and a sister, Cecelia K. Woodham.
Memorials may be made to a favorite charity, the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
Pallbearers will be Dr. Mike Caldwell, Ted Dixon, Dr. Jim Smith, Roy VanDevender, Eddie Sparkman, J.L. White, Heyward Dillard and Joel F. Wagner Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the East Mississippi Medical Society.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
MINNIE L. PRESTON
ROCHESTER, Mich. Services for Minnie L. Preston will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Pixley Funeral Home of Rochester.
Mrs. Preston, 83, of Rochester Hills, formerly of St. Clair Shores, Harper Woods and Meridian, died Monday, Oct. 21, 2002, in Rochester Hills.
Survivors include her sons, Jim Preston and his wife, Judy, of Rochester Hills, and Jack Preston and his wife, Faye, of Imlay City, Mich.; grandchildren, Carrie Debano and her husband, Chris, Jean Heil and her husband, Jeff, Greg Preston, Beth Barker and her husband, Jon, and Emily Brown and her husband, Ben; great-grandchildren, Jamie, Jayson, Bailey and Taylor; a brother, Wendell Hayes; and a sister, Annette Snowden.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
Visitation will be today 2 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
BLANCHE ADELAIDE VANNOY
HOT SPRINGS, Ark. Services for Blanche Adelaide Vannoy will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Al Roseblum officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery in Hot Springs.
Mrs. Vannoy, 86, of Hot Springs, died Monday, Oct. 21, 2002. She was a member of Lakeside Home Extension Club, the Lakeside PTA and Grace Bible Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Pat Hardister of Hot Springs; a sister, Florence Ledbetter Simonton of Pampa, Texas; two grandchildren, Cynthia Bennett and Jay Hardister; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Vanno; her parents Raymond Joseph and Mary Wilson Bouquot; sisters, Nancy Cook, Annice Bouquot and Mildred Bouquot.
Memorials may be made to Grace Bible Church, 1005 Richard St., Hot Springs, AK 71913 or to a charity of choice.
Pallbearers will be J.C. Hardister, Brent Hardister, Rod Hardister, Darrell Johnson, Scott Withrow and Monty Watkins.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. George Queen, Dr. Tom Hollis Jr., Dr. Jerry Barnes, the staff of NPMC and members of Grace Bible Church.

Graveside services for Joshua Moore will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Hebron Cemetery in Kemper County with the Rev. Randall Bohannon officiating. Berry and Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Infant Moore, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2002, at Riley Hospital.
Survivors include his mother, Monica Y. Moore, sisters, Sylvia Moore and Kyla Moore, brothers, Rico Moore, Jeffrey Pope, Raquez Moore and Ronnie Easley and his maternal grandfather, Jacob Moore, all of Meridian.
