The Clarkdale Bulldogs pulled out an overtime win over Sebastopol 73-68 on Tuesday night at Sebastopol.
The win marked the first of the season for the Bulldogs after three losses in the Lauderdale County Tournament.
The game was tied at 61 at the end of regulation.
Brandon Mabry led Clarkdale with 25 points. Quint Walker had 21 followed by Rocky Kirksey with 18 and Josh Graves added 10. Sebastopol was led by Curtis Price.
Meridian High girls 53
Heidelberg girls 45
Meridian High beat defending Division 5-3A champ Heidelberg on its own floor Tuesday night in Heidelberg with a 53-45 win.
The Lady Wildcats improve to 3-1 on the season. The game was Heidelberg's season opener.
The Lady Wildcats got a big lift from Alexis Clemons who had a game high 24 points before fouling out. The team's top scorer on the year in Valencia Hairston was held to just five. Courtney Wade chipped in eight.
Princess Bender led Heidelberg with 20 and Katrina Fowler added 13.
Meridian trailed 13-8 after one quarter. They then outscored the Lady Oilers 14-4 in the second quarter to go up 22-17. It was 31-30 after three quarters. Meridian then scored 22 in the fourth.
Meridian High boys 85
Heidelberg 59
Meridian High swamped the 3A boys runner-up from last year with a 85-59 romp at Heidelberg on Tuesday night.
Meridian moves to 3-0 on the season. Heidelberg was playing its first of the season.
Meridian scored 37 points in the second quarter to go up 54-30 at halftime.
Jason Windom led the way with 19 points. Theo Naylor, Daniel Ramsey, Cornelius Miles and Daniel Boyd all had eight points.
Joe Agee led Heidelberg with 19 points.
Northeast Lauderdale 103
Newton boys 86
Northeast Lauderdale won a shootout over Newton 103-86 on Tuesday night.
The Trojans improve to 2-4 on the season.
Greg Powell led the way with 23 points. Alex Ford had 18 and Marcus Betts chipped in 16.

Newton girls 64
Quinn Jackson tossed in 32 points while Shequita Bell added 21 as Northeast won its second in a row on Tuesday night beating Newton 70-64.
The Lady Trojans move to 2-5 on the year.
Truly Clayton had 17 for Newton and Kotrece Bender added 15.
Sebastopol girls 52
Clarkdale girls 41
Sebastopol got 22 points from Ashley Johnson and 12 from Tameka Triplett to beat Clarkdale 52-41 on Tuesday night.
Clarkdale falls to 0-4 with the loss. Clarkdale trailed 22-18 at the half and 37-30 after three quarters.
Misti Alexander led the Lady Bulldogs with 13 points and Danielle Gaddis had eight.
Enterprise girls 52
Stringer 31
The Enterprise girls moved to 2-3 on the year with a 52-31 road win over Stringer.
Shonda Bester had 12 points and Jessica Gray had 11 for Enterprise. Alphica Moore led Stringer with 10.
It was 27-20 at the half in favor of Enterprise. They then used a 14-0 third quarter to pull away.
Stringer boys 79
Enterprise 70
Derrick Cook tossed in 24 points and Rodney McDonald had 20 to lead Stringer past Enterprise 79-70 Tuesday night in Stringer.
The loss drops Enterprise to 0-5.
It was 37-34, Stringer at the half. The Red Devils then used a 24-19 third quarter to up 61-52.
Michael Clark had 25 points to lead Enterprise. Patrick McLaughlin had 16 and Anthony Harris chipped in 12.
Newton County girls 47
South Leake girls 44
Newton County pulled out a close road win over South Leake 47-44.
Kirsten Chaney led the Lady Cougars, now 5-0, with 17 points. Andrea Dubose added 12.
It was 22-20 at the half. Newton County then led 36-34 after three quarters. The team struggled at the line making just 10-of-28 free throws.
South Leake boys 68
Newton County 65
Cary Luckett led South Leake to a home win over Newton County 68-65 on Tuesday night.
The loss drops the Cougars to 1-3. Luckett had 20 points. Shelond Ellis added 14 and Early D'Anthony had 10 for the Wildcats.
Newton County was led by Ricardo Alcanter with 16. Rico Hughes had 15 and Craig Prewitt had 12.
Noxapater girls 46
Edinburg 38
Noxapater moved to 2-1 on the season by beating Edinburg 46-38 on Tuesday night.
Krystle Hunter led Noxapater with a game high 27 points, 19 of which came in the second half. Stephanie Blankenship added eight.
Noxapater led 26-15 at the half and 34-25 after three quarters.
Paige Posey led Edinburg with 13 and Leslie Wilcher had 12.
East Rankin girls 47
Lamar girls 24
East Rankin beat Lamar 47-24 on Monday night at East Rankin.
Lamar, 0-7, led 8-6 after one quarter but then ERA came back with 12 points in the second and third quarters to go up 30-16 after three quarters.
Keely Phillips led Lamar with seven points. Keri Mathis has five.
Amy Cole led East Rankin with 21 points. Crystal Sessems had nine.
East Rankin also won the junior varsity game 35-13. Lauren Morrow and Allison Taylor each had eight. Kelsey Cobb had six for Lamar.
Central Academy girls 69
Hebron Christian 24
Megan Stokes had a double-double leading Central Macon to a 69-24 win Tuesday night over Hebron Christian.
The win improves Central to 4-3 on the season. Stokes had 26 points and 17 rebounds. Olivia Reed added 14 points and Lori Beth Wilson had 10.
Central led 39-10 at the half.

Forest girls 44
Scott Central beat Forest 50-44 on Tuesday night. Alisa Clay had 25 points. Mary Qualls led Forest with 14 and Shequita Lee had 11.
