April Heather Carty and Kenneth Claibourne Null, both of Little Rock, Ark., were married Saturday, Sept. 7, 2002, at Wildwood Park for the Performing Arts with the Rev. Dr. Robert Bledsoe officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Martin Cole Carty of Pine Bluff, Ark., and Mr. and Mrs. George William Null Sr. of Saltillo and Brenda Snare Null of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. J.N. Huddleston of Holiday Island, Ark., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Martin Carty of Pine Bluff.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mrs. T.C. Null of Meridian, Mrs. U.S. Blankenship of Meridian, the late T.C. Null, U.S. Blankenship of Meridian and the late Bill Snare of Oklahoma.
Nuptial music was provided by a flautist and cellist from the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore an ivory satin gown with spaghetti straps attaching to a scalloped neckline. The bodice was accented with crystals and sequins and swept into a chapel-length train that featured scalloped edged overlay on both sides of the train. The bride wore miniature orchids in her hair.
Grace Elizabeth Bost of Little Rock, Ark., served as maid of honor. Other attendants were Joye Carter May, Stephani Rucker Brown, Jennifer Gelzine Morrison, Mabyn Helen Patten, Laura Ashley Seiler and Emily Cheatham Davis, all of Little Rock, Carrie Lewis Ruhland of Memphis, Tenn., Ashley Simmon Perry of Oxford, Rebecca Bost Carwell of Dallas and Mary Ellen Bost of Fayetteville ,Ark., and Sarah Ann Bost of Pine Bluff, Ark.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Thomas Jonathan Null of Brazil, George William Null Jr. of Hattiesburg, David Robert Connor of Atlanta, Andrew Walker Snowden of Boston, Daniel Thomas of Dallas, Timothy Martin Carty of Nashville, Tenn., and Ferdie L. Moore IV of Meridian.
A reception was held at Wildwood Park following the ceremony.
Assisting at the reception were Susan Smith, Linda Amspaugh and Teresea Britenstein.
After a honeymoon in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple resides in Little Rock, Ark.
