GREENWOOD Services for James Francis "Jim" Risher will be held today at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church of Greenwood with the Rev. Thomas Delaney officiating. Burial will be in the Catholic cemetery at 3 p.m. in Meridian. Wilson and Knight Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Risher, 82, of Greenwood, formerly of Meridian, died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002, in Greenwood Leflore Hospital. He was born in Meridian and graduated from high school in Meridian after which he joined the U.S. Navy and served during World War II. He served on the USS Carrier Yorktown during the battle of Midway. After the service, he worked for South Central Bell Company and retired as a communications manager in 1982, after more than 42 years.
He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Greenwood and the Knights of Columbus, VFW and a volunteer worker at the Golden Age Nursing Home.
Survivors include his daughter, Stephanie Risher of Houston, Texas; sons, James Alfred Risher of Houston, Texas, and Stephen Risher of Memphis, Tenn.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Renee Lowenberg of St. Charles, Mo.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Risher.
Visitation will be today 9 a.m.-10 a.m. at the church.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Millard Edwards will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. David Hardy officiating. Burial will be in Bethsaida Cemetery in Neshoba County.
Mr. Edwards, 60, of Union, died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Edwards; daughters, Valissa Thrash and Tina Morgan; sons, Jimmy Edwards, Billy Edwards, Brad Edwards and James Edwards, all of Union; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sisters, Ada Herrington and Bernice Hancock, both of Philadelphia, Ruby Beason and Hazel Hammack, both of Mobile, Ala., Syble Simmons of Ward, Ala., and Faye Parker of Carthage.

BILOXI Services for Mary Alice Bradley will be held today at 7 p.m. at Lighthouse Apostolic Holiness Church in Biloxi. Burial in Biloxi City Cemetery with Marshall Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Bradley, 77, of Rose Hill, died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2002, at Gulfport Memorial Hospital. She was employed in the housekeeping department at Keesler Air Force Base.
Survivors include her sons, Donald Bradley, Melvin Bradley, Willie B. Bradley II and Charles Bradley, all of Biloxi, and Robert Lee Bradley of New York; daughters, Amanda Dukes of Rose Hill and Veola Bradley of Jackson; three brothers, A.J. Sanders and Webbie Lee Sanders, both of Quitman, and John Willie Sanders of Bay Springs; sisters, Roxie Williams of Newton, Sarah Sanders of Chicago and Mira Sanders of Jackson; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, W.O. Bradley and Eula Mae Jordan; a son, Eddie C. Bradley; and two brothers, Willie B. Bradley and Eugene Bradley.
Visitation will today one hour prior to the service.
SARA EGGERTON
Services for Sara Eggerton will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Tom Sikes officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mrs. Eggerton, 82, of Meridian, died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2002, at Rush Foundation Hospital. She was the first woman elder at First Christian Church and served in various community and volunteer services.
Survivors include her daughter, Lou Eatman Herbert of Mobile, Ala.; a brother, Granberry H. Ward and a sister, Celeste Ward Eggerton, both of Meridian; several nieces, nephews and a lifelong friend, Cile Bogan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Eggerton.
Pallbearers will be Berry Ward Jr., Robert Ward, Fred Eggerton Jr., Steve Eggerton, Daniel Self and B.B. Archer.
Visitation will be today 5:30 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
