Trojans land 12 on All-Division team

Twelve players from the Northeast Lauderdale Trojan football team were named to the All-Division 5-4A team on Monday.
Head Coach Steve Nelson, whose team went 4-6 last season, was pleased with the number of players honored by the league's coaches.
Senior running back Marcus Betts was named the Co-Offensive Most Valuable Player for the division. Betts is expected to with East Mississippi at signing time in February.
Selected as first-teamers were senior Michael McShane and juniors Calvin Scott and Tievo Durr.
The second team was paced by juniors Roger Lee and Cedric Blanchard along with sophomore Larry Hopson,
The honorable mentions were headed by junior quarterback Rod Smith along with juniors Eric Boyd, Maurice Carlisle, Tyler Barnett and sophomore Jacob Garrett.
