Cecily Anne Hill of Meridian and James Brad Lowe of Birmingham, Ala., were married Saturday, Sept. 14, 2002, at Historic Donnelly House and Gardens of Birmingham, with the Rev. Lee Yancey of Brandon officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. George Lynn Hill of Meridian, and Mr. and Mrs. James David Lowe of Gadsden, Ala.
Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Earl Hill Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Warren Elston Ragland, all of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are the late Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Perry Pillow, and the late Mr. and Mrs. James David Lowe.
Music for the ceremony was provided by the string quartet of Bonnie Furito, Patty Pilon, Jeff Flaniden and Nancy Watson, all of Birmingham; and Courtney Yancey of Brandon, vocalist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a strapless gown of ivory matte satin overlaid with beaded French tulle adorned with Alencon lace and pearls. It featured a matching sweep train.
Maid of honor was Elizabeth Lynn Hill of Meridian, sister of the bride.
Other attendants were Rilla Kennedy Furse of Atlanta, cousin of the bride, and Ashley Mills Hill of Meridian, sister-in-law of the bride.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen were Benjamin Joseph Hill and Jonathan Alexander Hill of Meridian and brothers of the bride, brothers of the bride; Marty Dwight Lowe and Michael David Lowe of Bowling Green, Ky., brothers of the bridegroom.
Ushers were Chad David Moseley, Matthew Payton Morris of Birmingham, Ala., James Levan Martin Jr. of Southside, Ala., and Jason Charles Salmon of Tempe, Ariz.
Prayer and readings were given by Lynn Gilchrist of Gadsen, Ala., and Dr. and Mrs. Harry Causey of Meridian.
A wedding poem was read by Rachel Busler of Jackson and the benediction was given by Katie Isbell of Meridian.
Rose petal attendants were Blakeley Elizabeth Yancey of Brandon and Meredith Leigh Furse of Germantown, Tenn.
Program attendants were Thomas Evan Bishop of Meridian and Matthew Benton Yancey of Brandon.
A reception was held at Historic Donnelly House and Gardens in Birmingham, following the ceremony.
After a honeymoon in Mexico, the couple resides in Birmingham.
