Church of the Mediator hosts guitar duo

The husband and wife team of Miroslav Loncar and Natasa Klasinc-Loncar will perform in concert Sunday at the Church of Mediator in Meridian.
They are known as Klasinc &Loncar Guitar Duo of Hattiesburg and have been playing together for more than 15 years.
The duo has preformed at hundreds of chamber music series, community arts series, universities, colleges, churches, art galleries and schools across the United States and Europe.
Their repertoire spans from early and classical, to romantic and ethnically flavored contemporary music. They specialize in music from Mediterranean countries.
Both are natives of Croatia. They live in Hattiesburg, where Miroslav directs the guitar program at William Carey College. He also has directed the program at Copiah-Lincoln Community College, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and Pearl River Community College.
Both Miroslav and Natasa received their bachelor's and master's degrees from the Academy of Music in Graz, Austria. They received their doctor of musical arts degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Miroslav has been featured on Mississippi Educational Television and in "Profiles in Music" and "Mississippi Concert Hall" on public radio in Mississippi.
The duo has released two recordings, "Images" and "Con Spirito." Miroslav also has released a solo album, "From Foreign Lands."
Their CD also will be available for purchase at the event on Sunday.
