Rebecca Collins Lane of Starkville and Raphael Andrew Hanson IV of Tuscaloosa, Ala., were married Saturday, March 15, 2003, at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, Ala., with Pastor Harry Reeder III officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. James Riley Lane III, and Mr. and Mrs. Raphael Andrew Hanson III.
Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. James William Emmons, Elizabeth Butler Lane and the late James Riley Lane Jr.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are the late Mr. and Mrs. Raphael Andrew Hanson Jr., and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Samuel Dunn.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Bonnie Furuto, violinist; and Jamie McLemore, pianist and organist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore an ivory satin strapless A-line gown featuring a band of organza with intricate beadwork. The back of the dress featured two organza panels with beadwork and swept into a cathedral-length train. She carried a bouquet of cream colored roses with stephanotis.
Michelle Mullis Gibson of Birmingham, Ala., served as matron of honor.
Other attendants were Alison Robinson, Amanda Zinn, Amber Anderson and Andi McClurkin, all of Birmingham, Ala., Mary Katherine Davenport of Fayetteville, N.C., Anna Bardin of Atlanta and Ginny Isbell of Meridian.
Hanson Ellis Davenport of Fayetteville was flower girl.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man.
Groomsmen and ushers were Richard Davenport of Fayetteville, Neal Scott, Kevin Kaye, Tyson Wilkins and Mark Hemby, all of Birmingham.
A reception was held at the Carraway-Davie House following the ceremony.
Assisting at the reception were Betty Estes, Nanette Gholston and Dianne Faulk.
After a honeymoon in Beverly Hills, Laguna Niguel and Santa Barbara, Calif., the couple resides in Birmingham.
