UNION Services for Gladys Watson will be today at 3 p.m. at Little Rock Baptist Church with the Revs. Reggie Williams and Rusty Walton officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Milling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Watson, 80, of Newton, died Saturday, May 17, 2003, at Newton Regional Hospital. She was a member of Little Rock Baptist Church and the Little Rock Chapter of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her son, Franklin Watson of Philadelphia; a granddaughter, Lisa Watson of Bruce; a grandson, Brian Watson of Memphis, Tenn.; a great-granddaughter, Teresa Addy of Decatur; sisters, Ruth Rigdon and Sadie Clearman, both of Little Rock; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Donald Rigdon, Joey Rigdon, Charles Hand, Jimmy Hand, Kenneth Hagan and Ricky Goforth.

Services for James H. Griffiths will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ann Kaufman officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Griffiths, 70, of Meridian, died Saturday, May 17, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. He was a master electrician and was retired from American Motors in Detroit and Esco in Newton.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Griffiths of Meridian; children, Susan Seal of Brandon, Sandra Syner and her husband, Richard, of Meridian, Dee Buchanan and her husband, Terry, of Florida, James Griffiths and his wife, Becky, and Annette Griffiths, all of Texas; grandchildren, James Griffiths Jr., Audry Griffiths and Patricia "Patty" Lynn Syner; his mother, Mary Jane Griffiths of Meridian; and a brother, John Edward Griffiths Jr. of California.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Edward Griffiths Sr.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Arrangements were incomplete at James F. Webb Funeral Home for Lucille Eddins Merrill, 81, of Meridian, who died Saturday, May 17, 2003, at River Oaks Hospital in Jackson.
Arrangements were incomplete at Barham Funeral Home for Ruby Lois Warren, 79, of Meridian, who died Sunday, May 18, 2003, at Riley Hospital.
