Seven more contestants have advanced to Saturday's finals in the first annual "Are You The Real Thing?" talent contest.
Radio station WOKK, Meridian Coca-Cola and Bonita Lakes Mall have teamed up to find the area's most talented individual or group. Round 1 was May 10 and produced six finalists. Seven finalists were selected in Round 2 on May 17 at Bonita Lakes Mall.
Finalists include Marsha Clarke of DeKalb; Heather Garrett of Meridian; Stephen Herrington of Quitman; Cheryl Luquire of Meridian; Holli Marie Mosely of Mobile, Ala.; Chris Nowell of Meridian; and Eric Smith of Stonewall.
These seven will face the winners from Round 1, which included Madison Hardy of Philadelphia; Lori Joyner and Erica Rowell of Quitman; and Natalie Beard, Lori Segouia and Ashley Williamson, all of Meridian.
The 13 finalists will each perform two songs during the finals set to begin at 4 p.m. Saturday at Bonita Lakes Mall's Center Court.
The finalists will be judged on vocal performance, stage presence and audience participation.
The winner will receive a trophy, $1,000 cash, a $1,000 mall shopping spree, a year's supply of Coca-Cola, 10 front row seats to the Rockin' Road House Tour Concert set for May 30 at the Lauderdale County Agri-Center and the opportunity to open for the concert.
Second and third place winners will each receive a trophy and a cash prize.
Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
