Mitchell Signs partners
with Clearwater Key, Hard Rock Beach Club
Meridian-based Mitchell Signs recently manufactured and installed more than 170 signs at the Pearl River Resort's Clearwater Key &Hard Rock Beach Club.
Of the 170 signs, one was a 40-foot pylon at the entrance of the Lake Pushmataha development. The pylon sign features signs for Geyser Falls, Clearwater Key, Hard Rock Beach Club, and will eventually include the Lake Pushmataha Community Center.
The beach and club are part of the resort's plans to develop a 285-acre resort lake named Lake Pushmataha. The development is a project of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians.
With sign materials ranging from authentic bamboo to steel pipe, the signs and graphics are anything but ordinary. Sign types included directionals, entry signs, retail identification signs and specialty signs for specific themed areas of the park.
Clearwater Key includes nine acres of water activities, sand, palm trees and crystal clear waters.
The Hard Rock Beach Club main entry sign is a set of open face channel letters with exposed neon and a channel logo. It is the easily recognizable logo of the Hard Rock Caf, altered somewhat by the Beach Club copy at the bottom.
The new Hard Rock Beach Club, which officially opened last week, features an indoor and outdoor tropical environment with heated pools, open-air porches, live performance stages and a full-service restaurant. The beach will feature several islands, waterfalls and a coral reef for snorkeling and swimming.
Mitchell Signs also manufactured and installed the signage, graphics and neon for the Silver Star Hotel &Casino and the Golden Moon Hotel &Casino.
Mitchell Signs markets signs and image systems throughout the U.S. During the last three years, Mitchell Signs has worked with businesses and organizations in 38 states and Great Britain. The company employs approximately 70 employees and is owned and managed by Melanie Mitchell.
