Services for Donald E. Richardson will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Clay Chancelor and Nick Holdin officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Richardson, 59, of Zero Community, died Wednesday, July 2, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. Mr. Richardson was a former employee of Jitney Jungle, Joe Barnette Grocery and Pump &Save.
Survivors include his wife, Bessie Nell Richardson, two daughters, Glenda Linton and her husband, Robert, and Donna Herrin, and three grandchildren, Heather Linton, Daniel Linton and Zacharey Richardson, all of Meridian; his mother, Helen Richardson of Russell; his brother, Ralph Richardson of Philadelphia; and his sister, Carol Owens of Dalewood.
He was preceded in death by his father, the Rev. James E. Richardson.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Services for Treajetta Margaret Strange will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Jason Bird officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mrs. Strange, 93, of Meridian, died Thursday, July 3, 2003, in Meridian. She was a lifetime member of 15th Avenue Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sisters, one brother, two daughters, Margaret Thomas of Meridian; and Sharon Schermer and her husband, Jeff, of Atlanta; three grandchildren, Randy Thomas and his wife, Wynn, of Meridian; and Bryan and Kerri Schermer of Atlanta; a step-great-granddaughter, Erica Barnet; a great-granddaughter, Amanda Thomas; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Strange.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Services for Johnny Wayne Wedgeworth Sr. will be held Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Joe Lofton and Carrol Cook officiating. Burial will be in Hester Cemetery in Neshoba County.
Mr. Wedgeworth, 64, of Meridian, died Thursday, July 3, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include his sons, John Wayne Wedgeworth Jr. and his wife, Cheri, and Tim W. Wedgeworth and his wife, Cindy, all of Petal; seven grandchildren, Michael, Trampus, Jill, Chasity, Mandy, Jesse and Hunter; brothers, Howell Glyn Wedgeworth of Seattle; Willie Ray Wedgeworth of Meridian; and Dan Wedgeworth of Flomaton, Ala.; sisters, Hazel Green of Meridian; Dora Mae Wilson of Bailey; Claudie Ruth Burt, Lois Allen and Frances Helton, all of Meridian; and Annie Jane DuBose of Birmingham, Ala.; a special nephew, James Love and his wife, Teresa, of Meridian; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howell Jesse and Annie Ruth Wedgeworth.
The family requests memorials be made to defer funeral cost in lieu of flowers.
The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the funeral home.
Services for Pauline Lay will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Milling Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Steve Robinson and James Galloway officiating. Burial will be in Zion Church of God Cemetery.
Ms. Lay, 67, of Newton, died Thursday, July 3, 2003, at Newton Regional Hospital. She was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Carol Burney and two grandchildren, Amy Burney and Patrick Lay, all of Crystal Springs; two sisters, Mattie Spence of Newton; and Janie McMullan of Lawrence; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Mike Spence, John Spence, Mark Spence, Clifton McMullan, James H. Johnson, John Todd and Travis Rainer.
Visitation will be today from 6:30 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Services for Searcy R. McAdams will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Meadows officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. McAdams, 77, of Meridian, died Wednesday, July 2, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Druid Hills United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Eddins McAdams of Meridian; his son, Jimmy Ray McAdams and his wife, Vicki, of Pascagoula; granddaughters, Jessica McAdams Tanner and her husband, Bobby, of Lucedale; Kelly McAdams Martinez and her husband, Manuel, of Pascagoula; Shayla McAdams, Shirley McAdams and Alyssa McAdams, all of Pascagoula; grandson, Terrell McAdams of Pascagoula; great-granddaughters, Krisha Martinez, Stephanie Tanner and Katelyn Tanner; great-grandson, Steve Tanner; brother, George Rau McAdams of Reform, Ala.; and his sister, Effie Gay Sanders of Atlanta.
Pallbearers will be Doug Bracken, Nelson Phillips, Glenn Gibson, George E. Beauchemin, Bob Kater and Jim Brooks.
Visitation will be Saturday two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
BUTLER, Ala. Services for Betty Merle Todd will be held Sunday at 10 a.m. at Shady Grove Assembly of God with Jewel Moore officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery. Bumpers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Todd, 54, of Gilbertown, Ala., died Wednesday, July 2, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include her daughter, Connie Buntyn of Montgomery, Ala.; a brother, Floyd Diamond of Butler, Ala.; and a granddaughter Christine Lynn Buntyn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Todd; a son, Eddie Lamar Todd; her parents, Lucious Claude Diamond and Edna Mae Jenkins.
Visitation will be Saturday from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Arrangements were incomplete at E.E. McDonald Funeral Home for James A. Chambliss, 54, of Meridian, who died Wednesday, July 2, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
