QUITMAN Services for Artist Glenn Chandler Sr. will be held today at 10 a.m. at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dewayne Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Rolling Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Chandler, 59, of Quitman, died Friday, July 4, 2003, at Heartfelt Hospice.
Survivors include his wife, Mandy Chandler, his son, Lee Dennison and his wife, Mary, all of Quitman; three daughters, Letessa Chandler Turner and her husband, Johnny, of Melvin, Ala.; Missy Breeden and her husband, John, of Brandon; and Jamie Johnson and her husband, Bill, of Quitman; two brothers, Wilmer Chandler and Harry Chandler, both of Enterprise; and his sister, Dora Fitzgerald of Stonewall.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Edna Chandler, a son, Artist Glenn Chandler Jr., and a brother, Robert Chandler.
Services for Treajetta Molpus Strange will be held today at 11 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Jason Bird and Frank Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mrs. Strange, 93, of Meridian, died Thursday, July 3, 2003, in Meridian. She was a lifetime member of 15th Avenue Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Thomas of Meridian; and Sharon Schermer and her husband, Jeff, of Atlanta; three grandchildren, Randy Thomas and his wife, Lynn, of Meridian; and Bryan and Kerri Schermer of Atlanta; a great-granddaughter, Amanda Thomas, a step-great-granddaughter, Erica Barnet and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Strange, son-in-law, Howard Thomas, three sisters and one brother.
Pallbearers will be E.C. Bancroft, Randy Ethridge, Bryan Schermer, Randy Thomas, Earl Sikes, Bill Stephenson and Jeff Schermer. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Sikes, Frank Thomas and Phillip Price.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
