Donald Wayne Jones Jr., 17, of Collinsville, has been reported by his mother as missing since July 1.
Jones' mother, Ann Bigham of Toomsuba, said Thursday that the teen was dropped off at the Ice Plant Inc. on Highway 11/80 West by his father on the morning he disappeared.
Bigham said that Jones' co-workers saw him pick up his paycheck at about 6 a.m., but they couldn't find him when it was time for work to start.
Jones attends Northeast High School and will be a senior when school starts this fall. Bigham said Jones doesn't have a vehicle; she believes someone must have picked him up.
The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department and the Department of Juvenile Services are aware that Jones is missing, but could not discuss the case because he is a minor.
Maj. Ward Calhoun with the sheriff's department said anyone with information about Jones should call the department or CrimeStoppers at 917-8888.
