Joseph and Cynthia McGee of Hickory announce the engagement of their daughter, Marissa Lee, to Darren Victor Lee, son of Darrell and Mary Ann Lee, of Carnes.
The wedding will be Saturday, July 12, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Carterville Baptist Church in Petal.
Miss McGee is the granddaughter of Prentiss and Erma Dean Thompson of Carthage, Molly McGee of Hickory and the late Joseph McGee.
The bride-elect, a 1996 graduate of Newton County High School, received an associate's degree from East Central Community College in 1998.
She received a bachelor's degree in 2000 from William Carey College in Hattiesburg and a master's of education degree in 2003 from William Carey College.
Miss McGee is employed with the Forrest County School System.
Mr. Lee is the grandson of the late Woodrow and Frances Laird Hickman of Wiggins, and the late Bill and Eleanor Hatten Lee of Carnes.
The bridegroom-elect is a 1990 graduate of Forrest County Agricultural High School. He received a degree in funeral service from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in 1999.
Mr. Lee is employed as transportation director of Forrest County School System.
A reception will be held at the church following the ceremony.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
