Future soccer stars got the chance to improve their skills Tuesday at MCC's soccer camp.
Fifty campers, ranging in age from 4 to 17, braved the warm weather and received instruction from MCC soccer coach Alex George and members of the men's and women's soccer teams.
Drills included defensive work, learning to dribble correctly, and numerous other basic soccer drills which the campers attacked with excited energy.
After morning practice, the campers took an hour afternoon break to cool down in MCC's pool, which came as a welcome treat for the instructors and instructees.
George said the pool time was to mix "Business with pleasure."
George said that soccer is growing not only in Mississippi, but all over the United States.
The camp stressed fundamentals, and focused on improvement.
George said he was pleased with the smoothness of the camp.
